Setting it all up. By the look's of how many things there are included i dont think it will take to long at all to build this cooler, just to test i timed myself. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All completed and that took 2 minutes 38 seconds and i was taking my time, that's also proof it's very user freindly and suitable for all.

Testing components, software used & results Test Components used Asus BLITZ Extreme INTEL Q6600-G0 CSX Diabilo DDR3 2000mhz PC Power & Cooling - Turbo Cool 510W Thermal Interface Material
Arctic silver Ceramique Test Software used cpu-z wPrime RealTemp Ambient temps at the time of testing both coolers were 22.0 - 24.0 Celcius Right i think it's time to prove what this baby can do .Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature IDLE for 30 minuites at stock cpu clock 0% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature IDLE for 30 minuites at 3.6ghz 0% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature 50% through wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature 50% through wPrime 1024M at 3.6ghz 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature 75% through wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature 75% through wPrime 1024M at 3.6ghz 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature rapidly drop after 100% completion & 100% load of wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock. ![]() Picture of the Xigmatek's temperature rapidly drop after 100% completion & 100% load of wPrime 1024M at 3.6ghz. ![]()

Time to compare this to the current champ.. well.. not for long.
![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature IDLE for 30 minuites at stock cpu clock 0% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature IDLE for 30 minuites at 3.6ghz 0% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature 50% through wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature 50% through wPrime 1024M at 3.6ghz 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature 75% through wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature 75% through wPrime 1024M at 3.6ghz 100% load. ![]() Picture of the Arctic cooling freezer 7's temperature after 100% completion & 100% load of wPrime 1024M at stock cpu clock. ![]() Right well your probably thinking where is the pic of the ACF7 completing wPrime the HSF kept going into the 70c temprature range BSODing and restarting to the point it wouldnt even boot into windows i tryed adding a 120mm fan to it still no sucess! a word to Arctic Cooling. *Beware of Xigmatek*

Final thoughts and disscusion.
Theres nothing really bad about this cooler it's sexy, a brilliant performer it owns the ACF7, it has a great unique design as you can tell by the angled fin design. Its not loud and is bundled with an excellent fan, it also has clear instructions in many languages. The presentation is very stylish, im sure if this review wasn't enough to convince you to buy one of these bad boys im sure the box will .This is a perfect cooler for many quads out there & is also proof that size dosent always matter its all about thermal engeneering the picture below says it all. Who need's lapping? Some minor troubles i encountered when installing this cooler When mounting this cooler if you have your ram in slot 1 you may have to remove it due to it being quite fiddily on the push down clips for 775 as the fan gets in the way quite a bit. The rubber anti vibration mounts are a tiny but fiddily but once on I think it could even hold a 92mm vantec tornado in place no problem imagine the peformance then , and dont, please dont push your thumb down and move it accross the HSF's fins as now I have four slices on my thumb from doing so silly me.The price.. it's £28.74inc VAT from Scan. from these test results i dont think i can complain it's alot of bang for your buck. ![]() A big thanks goes to Tony over @ Xigmatek for supplying this review sample .Nathanial

One test i'd like to see is loaded temps on orthos after about an hour to see if it can maintain temperature, readings at 20 minute intervals would be nice
![]() cracking review though matey

Nicely done,
Looks like a decent cooler Better than the Arctic, which is considered a great basic one, but cheap enough not to have to contend with the TRUE, and still gives good performance. Looking forward to more reviews! |
